You’ve Got Q’s? I’ve Got A’s.
What is Craniosacral Therapy?
Craniosacral Therapy (CST) is a gentle, hands-on technique that supports the body’s natural ability to heal and regulate itself. It focuses on the craniosacral system—comprised of the skull, spine, and sacrum—to release tension, improve fluid flow, and balance the nervous system. CST is commonly used for babies and children experiencing feeding difficulties, reflux, sleep challenges, and developmental concerns. By addressing subtle restrictions in the body, this therapy promotes relaxation, optimal function, and overall well-being.
What is Occupational Therapy?
Occupational Therapy (OT) helps individuals develop, recover, or improve the skills needed for daily life. For babies and young children, OT focuses on supporting development in areas like feeding, movement, sensory processing, and overall function. It can help with challenges such as difficulty latching, reflux, poor sleep, muscle tone imbalances, and delays in motor skills. Through targeted exercises, hands-on techniques, and family education, OT promotes a strong foundation for growth, independence, and well-being.
Is it safe? Does it hurt?
Craniosacral Therapy is very safe and gentle. The techniques used involve light, hands-on touch to support your baby’s nervous system, movement, and overall function. There is no forceful manipulation or discomfort involved. Most babies find the sessions calming and may even relax or fall asleep during treatment. The goal is to release tension and support natural development in a way that feels soothing and comfortable.
What does a session look like?
A session is calm, gentle, and baby-led, ensuring your little one feels safe and comfortable throughout. We start with a discussion about your baby’s history, concerns, and goals. Then, using light, hands-on techniques, I assess and support areas of tension, movement, and function—whether it’s improving feeding, sleep, reflux, or overall development. Your baby may be held, positioned on a treatment table, or in your lap, depending on what feels best for them. Sessions are relaxed, and we follow your baby’s cues to create a positive and effective experience.
How many session will my child need?
Every baby is unique, so the number of sessions varies based on their specific needs and how they respond to treatment. Some babies show noticeable improvement in just a few visits, while others may benefit from ongoing support over several weeks. After an initial assessment, I’ll provide a personalized recommendation based on your child’s development, feeding, sleep, and overall function. My goal is to help your baby thrive with the fewest sessions necessary while ensuring lasting progress.
Are sessions covered by insurance?
Coverage for Craniosacral Therapy varies depending on your insurance plan. Some providers may reimburse for occupational therapy services, while others may not cover these specialized treatments. I recommend checking with your insurance provider to understand your benefits. If needed, I can provide a superbill for you to submit for potential reimbursement. Flexible payment options are also available to ensure your child gets the care they need.
How does virtual support work?
Once you’ve hired Kaili, you will receive an intake form and pertinent questionnaires to complete. The sleep support requires you to complete a 5-day sleep log (just once, I promise).
Then, you will schedule your initial consultation which is completed over video (through a client management system called Practice Better) to discuss your current situation in detail, your current concerns regarding your child, as well as your goals for our work together.
Kaili will discuss her analysis and recommendations and together you will make a plan for your family that takes into consideration your values and needs.
Kaili will then provide you with a comprehensive write up of those recommendations, and strategies, which will give you a clear plan of action to follow.
You will have the opportunity to be in regular contact with Kaili throughout your contracted package. Kaili will provide support, advice, and accountability as you work towards putting the strategies in place and establishing new habits for your child and your family.
Do you offer ongoing consultation?
For virtual support, I generally require you to purchase a package first (especially for sleep, reflux, and sensory processing support), since these are a little more involved and you will appreciate the in-depth analysis that I provide (and write up for you).
After this initial package, you will have the ability to book me for 30/60 minute one-off sessions as needed.
If you are coming to see me in-person, these are booked and charged per session.
Are your services are covered by extended health insurance?
If you are living in Ontario and are looking for more theraueptic support, which might be covered under extended health insurance. Please reach out to us directly and we can tell you for sure.

Feel free to book a complimentary 20-min Right-Fit Call to get all your questions answered and to see if we are a good fit for working together. This call will NOT be a consultation call, but I am happy to answer questions about my practice and how I can help you and your family. How long before I notice improvements with my child?
Every baby is different, but many parents notice improvements within a few days to a couple of weeks.
Understanding and addressing the root cause of an issue can lead to significant improvements in your baby’s comfort and happiness.
Some causes might be managed within a few days, while others might take weeks or even months (like non-integrated reflexes or a more sensitive nervous system).
It’s not about quick fixes, but about creating lasting change.
How long until my baby sleeps through the night?
Gently encouraging a baby to sleep better will take a different amount of time for every baby. Unlike more aggressive sleep training methods, I can’t promise you when it will get better. But I can promise you that it will get better. With these responsive, science-based strategies you’ll get more rest soon, and when you do, you’ll rest easy knowing you stayed true to your values the whole way.
Remember – sleep training might seem faster and easier, but that doesn’t equal better results. Sleep training often has to be redone as babies grow, and it can cause a huge amount of stress for babies and families. These holistic, attachment-based methods set you up for real, lasting better sleep. You’ll build a foundation of connection that will pay off a thousand times throughout your baby’s childhood. Faster doesn’t mean better!
Is there crying?
This is a tricky question. Babies cry – that is how they communicate with us initially. They cry because they are tired, hungry, uncomfortable, cold, wet, frustrated, and so many other reasons. So while I can’t promise there won’t ever be any crying, I will promise you that I’ll never tell you to leave your baby alone to cry, or tell you that ‘crying helps them figure it out’, or ‘teaches them to be independent’, not for a second.
I can’t promise that you won’t cry though – that first night of real rest can definitely bring tears of relief!
How can you help virtually?
A lot can be done virtually over a video call! Think about how amazing FaceTime is to connect with loved ones and let them see how your little one is growing and developing.
With a video call I just need you to set up your smartphone, an ipad, or even your laptop screen somewhere so that I can see the whole room, or just your baby, and how they are moving (or eating), depending on what kind of support you are looking for.
Then I will offer in the moment feedback, guidance on how to facilitate movements, or suggestions on how to offer a pre-loaded spoon or even a new texture.
It’s as if I am in the room with you, I just can’t actually snuggle your baby (though believe me, I am feeling all the feels!)
How exactly does distance healing work?
Our modern day technology runs on frequencies:
- When you change the station, you change the frequency
- The ability to use your cell phone to make a phone call or search the internet – again, uses frequencies
- Your car fob that unlocks and starts your car from a distance – yup, frequencies
- Various medical devices and equipment used in hospitals also use frequencies.
Distance healing is an incredible modality that has been around for centuries and is becoming increasingly popular.
It is very similar to using prayer and visualization to send healing energy to those who are ill.
I use a small frequency device called Healy, that uses magnetic frequencies to harmonize your bioenergetic field, to bring your body back into resonance so that it can do its amazing job of healing itself – body, mind, and spirit.
One of the beautiful options with this device is that with a quantum sensor it can tap into the bioenergetic field of any living being, with some specific information such as your name, date and place of birth. I can either do a scan to determine the specific programs your body needs to get back into alignment or I can vibrate (send) specific frequency programs to you and your bioenergetic field based on your needs.
